From Sassalbo, a small village immersed in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine Park, comes the genuine and natural products of Bertocchi Mario's artisan butchery and cured meat factory: here the focus is not on number, but on quality, using only the highest quality pork choice coming from animals born and raised in Italy. The company was founded immediately after the war thanks to the paternal grandparents (Mario and Pierina) who opened a small shop and slaughterhouse in the town; in 1962 the current laboratory was then built (initially intended as a slaughterhouse and now renovated and converted) where all the meat processing is carried out. Since 1993 it has also been a small artisan cured meat factory with a targeted production of sausages such as sausage, salami, pancetta, soppressata, lard and other small derivative processes.
